ABOUT BETHANY
A dynamic and ravishing violinist, Bethany Mennemeyer’s milestones are dedicated to a broad range of ensemble and solo performances. At home in Los Angeles’ vibrant cultural scene, her ode to musical flexibility, technical facility and charming professionalism has resonated.
Dr. Mennemeyer has appeared before classical audiences from Disney Hall to the Kennedy Center. She’s beguiled thousands amongst a string section supporting major artists at Coachella, The Hollywood Bowl, Santa Barbara Bowl and Greek Theater.
Bethany’s been a member of the Santa Barbara Symphony for over 12 years and has performed with the LA Master Chorale, Opera Santa Barbara, the Pasadena and New West Symphonies, among others. Recording session opportunities have presented themselves at Sony, Warner Brothers, Capitol, EastWest, Fox and The Village studios, while her television appearances include the Grammy Awards.
After completing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Michigan (2006) where she was a Graduate Student Instructor, Dr. Mennemeyer taught violin and viola at El Camino College (2007-2012). Bethany has a devotion to her family and friends evidenced in her heartfelt hospitality and humor. She’ll forever play backup to their art, community, environmental conservationism, equal rights and wildlife protection.
